Admissions process

Your application starts with applying online using Embark (https://apply.embark.com/MBAEdge/Amsterdam/FEB). This is possible from 1 October 2011 onwards.

In case you are not sure if you meet the admission requirements, you can upload your profile into our CV Quick Scan to check your eligibility.

If you are confident about your eligibility for the programme we invite you to start your application. We only accept online applications. The following documents are required (scans of the original documents suffice for the application process. After your admission we need to receive the original documents or certified copies of these documents):

  • Copy of your passport;
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Transcripts (grade list);
  • Diplomas;
  • Motivation letter (stating why you want to pursue an MBA degree, why Amsterdam and the Amsterdam MBA, your career perspectives, what you are good at and what you want to work on during the programnme, and your added value to the class. Your letter should not exceed 700 words);
  • English test score;
  • GMAT/GRE score report (part-time students can opt for our in-house test);
  • Two recommendations (in our application system you can request your recommenders to fill out the online recommendation form. This is mandatory.)

Please find below the process that follows after you applied online:

  • After receiving your complete application and a non-refundable application fee of € 100 (credit card payments only), we will evaluate your profile;
  • In case of a positive outcome we will invite you for our in-house test (only applicable for part-time students - it is not possible to retake the test in case the results are not sufficient) and the admissions interview.
  • After the interview your application will be discussed by the Admissions Committee. Within 4 weeks you will receive a final decision.
  • If you are admitted we will ask you to sign the contract and pay the enrolment fee in order to secure your place in the Amsterdam MBA programme.
  • After signing your contract we need to see and or receive your original documents or certified copies of these documents (i.e. diplomas, transcripts, GMAT score report etc).
  • After you secured your place in the programme we will arrange your study visa and housing (if needed and only for full-time international students).

Financial deadlines

  • The deadline to be eligible for the early-bird discount of € 3,000 is March 1, 2012;
  • The deadline to receive a 5% discount in case you pay your tuition fee at once, is April 30, 2012.
  • The deadline to be eligible for the MBA Tuition Waiver Scheme is May 31, 2012.

Application deadlines

Application deadlines: 

  • Full-time: 30 June 2012 (in case you are already living in the Netherlands and no visa is needed: 31 July 2012)
  • Part-time: 31 July 2012

All documents should be uploaded in the system by the date mentioned.
